Mountain Roads

When mountain roads happen to open is largely dependent on the weather in, and around spring/early summer, with snow conditions being the primary factor in determining the opening time. Wet road conditions can also contribute to opening delays.

During springtime, and into the summer, the IRCA publishes a map with an overview of which mountain roads are open at any given point. The map is updated continuously as road conditions change.
