Two sections of the Ring Road are to be milled and paved over the course of Sunday, May 31st and Monday, June 1st, between 19:00 and 07:00. Traffic will be directed both evenings between 19:00 and 21:00.
Between 21:00 and 07:00 in the morning, both days, the Ring road will be closed to the north by Þingvallavegur. Over the course of operations, a designated detour will be available through Þingvallavegur (36), Kjósarskarðsvegur (48), and Hvalfjarðarvegur (47).

The closure is only in place for northbound traffic. Drivers heading south will be permitted to drive alongside the working area; however, they are asked to show increased consideration on the road, as well as respecting all temporary road markings.
The sections to be milled and paved are a 670m section by Esjumelar, alongside a 1,500m section in Kollafjörður.
