Road closures will be enforced on Þingvallavegur in three locations: by the road’s intersection with Grafningsvegur, west of Þingvellir Lake; on Uxahryggjarvegur north of the lake; and by Miðfell to the lake’s east. Further closures will be in place within the national park, denoted on the map below. Þingvallavegur will be closed to all except ticket holders for the concert.

These restrictions will undoubtedly have an effect on traffic flow, particularly around Mosfellsheiði. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead.

The concert — called Bergmál — will take place during the summer solstice, and is being hosted by Kaleo, with a number of performances by other musicians planned alongside. The concert programme will begin at 11:00 in the morning and is slated to go until midnight.

Parking reservations in select areas around Þingvellir is available, with further transport shuttles heading toward the concert area also being offered. Concert goers intending to utilize parking in the Þingvellir area must arrive before 16:00. Bus tickets from Reykjavík to the concert area are also available online.
