The Icelandic Road Administration english web pages
The Icelandic Road Administration (ICERA) presents here a subset of the Icelandic web pages, in English. The information presented will, for the time being, primarily be about road condition, weather and such basic information that can assist the foreign traveller in Iceland.
Road condition information is entered in the morning and updated as needed during the day. Weather information is in most cases updated 1-2 times every hour around the clock. "Road conditions and weather"
The Icelandic Road Administration has published, in collaboration with the Road Traffic Directorate, a brochure for foreign travellers, called "Have a safe journey"
The brochure is published in several languages and is available on the Road Traffic Directorate web side together with a video called "How to drive in Iceland" and other interesting travel information.
The Icelandic Association for Research and Rescue (ICE-SAR) has joined hands with the Icelandic Road Administration and other interested parties, in running a website with the goal to prevent accidents in travel and turism in Iceland.
